TCF Students Gain Experience with Internships

Students spend their summers doing a variety of activities; some may take classes, work to make extra money, travel, or just wind down. Others like TCF student, Derik Anderson, work as interns.

Anderson interned with ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut. A highlight of Anderson’sinternship was producing content that aired live during ESPN’s X Games coverage. He said that ESPN producers gave him lot of confidence.

Undergraduate sports broadcasting students in the Telecommunication and Film department must complete internships as part of their degree requirements. These experiences are invaluable because they give students the opportunity to gain work experience, network with professionals and refine the areas of sports media they want to pursue after graduation.
